Too many DPSers like to run ahead of me, pull stuff and then they expect me
to bail them out.
I don't. Well ... not right away. I let the mobs
hit them several times before I flash (paladin's group taunt).
My
rule is: "If you
pull it -- you
tank it."
Which I
follow up with: "And may the gods have mercy on your soul."
If a
DPSer complains, I say the above. How they react to it determines whether or
not I leave the group. The possibilities are:
- They make some indication of regret -- I stay.
- They get mouthy -- I leave.
- They go into the Gray Area -- their response is either
"neutral"(ish) or they don't answer at all. So I wait to see if they
modify their behavior at the next mob group. Successful behavior
modification = I stay. If not, I leave.
Think I'm a dick? I don't blame you. But I'll tell you why I'm
not
a dick.
